How Do You Get Rid Of Black Algae In Swimming Pools?

Shock the pool with a quick dissolving granular chlorine. Leave the pump off so that the shock will settle at the bottom for 30 to 45 minutes. That should kill the algae or mold. Turn the pump on when it is gone and run the vacuum.
